Press Release - Santé Basque
Press Release | October 14, 2026
Creadev acquires a majority stake in Santé Basque, a group of psychiatric healthcare facilities, to support its long-term development, delivering high-quality care tailored to the needs of local communities.
Dr. Olivier Drevon, founder of Groupe Santé Basque Développement, announces that Creadev has acquired a stake in the group, alongside a renewed commitment from the management team. Built over fifteen years by doctors, healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs, Groupe Santé Basque Développement is entering a new chapter with a long-term shareholder that shares its commitment to quality care, culture of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
Founded in Bayonne in 2011, the group operates five facilities: Clinique Château Caradoc in Bayonne, Clinique Béthanie near Bordeaux, and three day hospitals in Lyon: AddiPsy, Clea and bipol-AIR. With more than 300 employees and a medical community of approximately 50 psychiatrists and physicians, both employed and independent, Santé Basque is recognised for its expertise in inpatient and day hospital care, offering numerous specialised treatment programmes (eating disorders, addictions, bipolar disorders, child and young adult psychiatry, and post-emergency care). All its facilities are certified by the French National Authority for Health (Haute Autorité de Santé), three of which have received the highest distinction for quality of care.
Active in the healthcare sector since 2003, when it first invested alongside the founder of Maisons de Famille, Creadev aims to make mental health one of its strategic priorities. Creadev brings patient capital, unconstrained by the lifespan of a traditional investment fund, the support of a team dedicated to the healthcare sector for nearly ten years, and the expertise of Mulliez family businesses in healthcare real estate, human resources and external growth.
Santé Basque and Creadev share a common set of values: entrepreneurial spirit, trust in their teams and an unwavering commitment to quality. Creadev will build on the strengths that have driven the group's success: the operational excellence of its teams and a culture of innovation that integrates scientific advances into patient care. The group will retain its operating model, developing projects facility by facility, in close alignment with local needs and the Regional Health Agencies (ARS).
Santé Basque will continue implementing projects already underway across its regions. With Creadev's support, the group will also be able to accelerate its expansion through acquisitions in France and potentially in neighbouring countries, while maintaining the highest standards of medical care.
“I founded Santé Basque with one conviction: private psychiatric care can be demanding, innovative and deeply human. I am delighted that the group is continuing its journey with another family that shares our values and gives our teams the freedom that has been key to our success,” says Dr. Olivier Drevon.
“What makes Santé Basque special is its people and the quality of their commitment to patients. Creadev's investment is a recognition of this collective achievement and enables us to build the future with the same high standards, so that more patients in France and, eventually, across Europe can benefit from high-quality care,” emphasises Jane-Christie Corinthien, President of the group.
“Mental health is a major concern for the French population and an urgent challenge for our healthcare system. We are proud to embark on an ambitious new phase of development alongside the Santé Basque teams and to continue championing the group's medical vision and human values,” says Marc Chipot, Senior Investment Director in Creadev's healthcare team.
